Developing the digital capability of the UK cultural sector: investment, skills and IP

This timely seminar will examine the next steps for supporting the use of digital technology in the UK cultural sector and the opportunities it brings for developing audiences, partnerships and revenue streams.

It is bringing together stakeholders with key policymakers as the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport analyses responses to its Culture is Digital project which – following on from the Culture White Paper – is supporting cultural and technology organizations in working together around creativity, engagement and capability.

Delegates will discuss the development of digitally-driven business models – particularly around monetization, marketing and distribution – and consider how to build closer partnerships with the tech and other sectors in order to find new ways of accessing funding and tap into the creative and commercial potential of technology, as well as opportunities for developing international content and expertise.
